Characteristics of a Great Podcast Host
Are you a great podcast host?
Many things make a podcast, but to me, it all boils down to the host of the show.
You can have quality sound audio and have amazing guests on your show, but I feel like the character of the host is what makes the podcast.
Be Bold: Take risks with your show. If you want your show to run a certain way, be the captain and run that thang!
Be Confident: Research your guests before they come on the show, be confident in the topics that you cover, and have trust in yourself that you got this.
Stay True to Yourself: Your journey is your journey and no one else's. Stay true to what your heart desires and stay on your path. Everything else will follow.
Stay in Your Lane: Don't watch other podcasters and follow their method. Learn what works for you and stick with it.
Be Genuine: Show up, be present, and give it your everything. Your audience can tell if you are trying too hard to get subscribers and get paid. Be genuine to who you are, and you will receive what you put out.
Being the best podcast host you can be is a process of constant improvement. You can always be more aware, more in tune with your audience, more knowledgeable, more engaging, more prepared, and the list goes on and on.
So, be aware of your hosting abilities and work on honing your skills further to keep your listeners engaged and coming back for more.
